Weeks of issues, no real solution
I am a paying subscriber and have been using Mondly daily to learn Italian.
For several weeks now, the application has been affected by technical errors that make it impossible to complete lessons and use the service as intended.
I contacted support and followed all recommended troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the app. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved. The case was forwarded to the development team, but no fix, timeline, or alternative solution has been provided, and communication has stopped.
Under these circumstances, the service I paid for is not being delivered.
I therefore request appropriate compensation, such as a refund or an extension of my subscription for the period during which the app has not been functioning properly.

Unfortunately, most of the lesson sections have a bug – the sentences or content do not appear on the screen, and I cannot move on to the next task. I have reported this many times, but nothing has been done about it. I’m not sure if it was worth spending money on this app.

It’s a good app. I really like the voice conversations with prompts. The lessons are also fine; they teach useful phrases. The voiceovers aren't tedious or annoying, unlike in some other apps. I would give it 5 stars if the review system for saved expressions/words were expanded. I completely don’t get it and I have no idea what the developers intended. Previously, I used flashcards and I liked the SRS (Spaced Repetition System) programmed into them – the app would automatically suggest expressions I struggled with in the last session. With the current review system in Mondly, saved expressions are only available to browse as a word list. If I end up with 1000 of them, it will be hard to scroll all the way down just to practice words from the first lesson.
As a solution: for me, it would be better to do a lesson in the morning and save difficult phrases for review, and then in the afternoon or evening, go through those words as flashcards with ‘I know it’ / ‘I don’t know it’ options. After another lesson, the system should shuffle all the saved words so that even after the 50th lesson, it would still bring up words from the first one until they are fully memorized.
This system should be improved, unless there is some review option I’m unaware of.

I use the premium version and understand the value of repetition, but restarting a lesson after losing lives means repeating the exact same content every time. Same sentences, same order. After a few attempts it becomes demotivating and feels more like memorizing a level than learning a language. More variety in repetitions would help a lot.

I would not purchase via AppStore
So the app might work for some and for others like me not. The advanced level is not at all advanced is very basic. There is a lot unnecessary translations to English. The artificial voice generator is also annoying. I think for the beginners is as good as any other app. Nicely done and easy to navigate.
The reason for one star is that I think it’s better to purchase through the website and avoid AppStore. I have been refused refunds for my purchases that I wasn’t satisfied with for past months and I think it is not a reliable store anymore.

The app is great in general, except for one thing, as far as I see. It’s not possible to use downloaded content offline, which is really bad. What’s the purpose of that if you can’t use it when not connected to the internet?

An app with potential but without repetition function
The best way to memorise new words is by constant repetition, which is not possible in this app. To learn with Mondly you have to run the side traditional notebook and make repetitions by yourself. Moreover, new vocab is also coming in „daily” lessons, which are not in the standard learning path, so if you want to repeat anything from it it’s annoying to open lesson by lesson and search for vocab you want to find.

It looks like the course was autotranslated from another, there are pronunciation errors, awkward phrasing and they skip grammatical gender most of the time. From the quick search on the web, it looks like it’s something that didn’t improve over years.

I am learning Spanish, it will probably be a minimum of a year, almost every day and what words do I have, for example, today? "coffee", "milk", "tea". Seriously!? And it repeats itself, words you know after one repetition, and here you learn the 10th time. I don't have premium but there are other free apps that teach better and more diverse. Why there's only one option of translation?
I learn Czech and I speak Polish. In some of excersices I have to write down translation or choose it from random words IN POLISH. Even though my answer makes sense and is correct gramarrly, the app recognizes it as incorrect. Only because I changed the words order. There's no difference in Polish if you say "ja się uczę języka" and "ja uczę się języka". Both are correct! Why do you accept only one option? This is super annoying...
Now they recently changed some features in the app. You can't report an error or issue if you find one. Apparently the app is perfect now...

I like the hands free modes - it is outstanding
What I miss is possibility to repeat words as tests from one “bucket”. Busuu has this option and it is significantly helpful to repeat what was learned in the past, but in organize and variable way. I hope that Mondly is thinking about this.

Well, after installing app you instantly get awesome discount -90% which in my case was from 1799,99 to 179,99. But if I pay regular monthly price which it is 39,99 than I pay around 480 yearly. Not bad, but not good either
I think It’s good app for learn vocabulary, but nothing more. You can practice speaking, but not reading or writing. Don’t expect grammar here too. I bought premium for one year and I won’t do it again. I think it could be a good app 20 years ago, but now we have lot of better options and less expensive. I didin’t saw any actualisations since 5 months.

If they make a mistake with a word as simple as dolphin I don’t think it’s worth paying for. I’m lucky enough to have a native speaker with me to see where the mistakes are but a lot of people do not have someone like that. Review your words because it’s really misleading.

Repetition feature needed
I like the app. How it's organized, how it looks. Kudos also for the no touch more! I miss however one important feature - an intelligent engine of repetitions which would know which words I know well and which not and systematically helps me to remember those problematic ones. It's important for learning and The competitors have it and that's a big minus for mondly that it's missing.

Easy pizy
Great app to learn new languages! Easy to use, very helpful. Daily little effort, after a month i started speaking new language. Highly recommend to everyone. You will have excellent accent as well since you can listen to native and record yours.

Not the best, but enough for start
In same lessons you have totally different meaning of words. Also, you learn words which people are not using anymore. Anyway, it’s „okay”.

first language app that I actually find worth spending money on
I love how complexe is the app with the chat bots and the possibility to check the conjugation of the underlined verbs in every sentence. The vocabulary segmentation is very intuitive as well. Well done

Free translation doesnt work and could be omitted
The free translation excercise accepts only one correct answer even though there could be many variants. And the answer it accepts is not even the best or most accurate so it makes you lose points even though youre right. Btw Im learning Ukrainian through Polish.

The nicest app to learn. What I just miss is that you cannot pay per month,like to subscribe and pay each month, but only you have to pay it all at once.. that’s terrible.

Great application worth recommending, because you can easily learn any language. However, there is one downside when it comes to teachers who sometimes pronounce words or sentences too quickly.

Learning a language can be a breeze
I’m truly amazed how wonderful it works! Great photos, interactive exercises and even a dialog (with a bot but it’s a great first step) make learning fun and, most importantly, easy. I’ll be delighted to spend some money on further using and studying as much as I can!

missing landscape mode, translation errors
on the iPad and iPad pro I would love to be able to use it in landscape, especially when the charger cable is attached.
over the last couple of month, I observe a growing number of translation misstakes and not matching text/voice.
